ARKET, a Nordic modern day market

When I was in Munich, visiting Fey I had the opportunity to visit this brand new concept store from the H&M Group, ARKET.
The first ARKET store opened in 2017 in London, and other stores followed in Copenhagen, Brussels & Munich and I was lucky enough to be in one of the cities where this modern day market was. The concept of this market is to offer essential products for men, women, children & the home.
On top of offering, apparels, accessories & home goods this modern day market also includes a café which serves food based on the New Nordic Food Manifesto.
What is the New Nordic Food Manifesto ?
The New Nordic Food manifesto is an innovative approach to traditional foods combined with a strong focus on health and an ethical production philosophy, stating that The Nordic cuisine should create and inspire the joy of food, taste and variety, nationally and internationally, according to the initial vision of it.
I love the idea, of going shopping for clothes or home goods and just enjoying a coffee break afterwards !
On top of serving coffees and pastries (which we came for lol) ARKET Café also serves healthy lunch. Fey & I went for afternoon coffee and had this delicious crumble, and were offered some free cookies to try by the sweet barista who worked there !
I really wish there was an ARKET here in France & I can't wait for one to open (please H&M Group do so !!); the concept is just well thought, the aesthetic of the shop is in perfect harmony with the Nordic style, and the food is just tremendously good. ARKET, is just the perfect place for a well spent afternoon !
