A day in Deauville ㅣ도빌에서의 하루

On September 12, at exactly 8:40 am from my new found home, my friends & I decided to catch a bus to the famous city of Deauville.

Deauville is to Paris, what the Hamptons are to New York ; Only two hours away from the capital, the luxurious holiday destination is well-known for its Grand Casino, the sumptuous hotels, the many luxury boutiques, its beach & very own Norman chic architecture.

9월 12일, 아침 8시 40분에 친구랑 같이 유명한 도빌에 버스 타기로 결심했다.

도빌은, 미국 뉴욕에서 햄튼를 같은 느낌 이다; 수도에서 불과 2시간 거리에 있는 이 호화로운 도시는 그랜드 카지노, 호화로운 호텔, 많은 고급 부티크, 해변 그리고 매우 독특한 노르만 양식 건축물로 잘 알려져 있다.

As soon as we arrived, the cold morning breeze greeted us & made us wander around for a warm breakfast. Leaving the station, we made our way to Trouville (which we thought was part of Deauville lol) and were then on the look for a nice & cosy café. To our surprise most of them were closed, and some bakeries had already run out of croissants & pain au chocolat ! We settled for a typical Parisian breakfast on the terrace of a coffee shop/bar named Willy's.

우리가 도착하자마자 차가운 아침 바람이 우리를 맞이했고 따뜻한 아침식사를 위해 이리저리 돌아다니게 했다. 역을 떠날때 트루빌 가서 편안한 카페를 찾고 있었다. 놀랍게도 커피숖들은 대부분 닫았고, 몇몇 빵집들은 이미 크로아상과 초콜릿 빵 다 떨어졌다! 드디어 Willy's 테라스에서 전형적인 파리식 아침식사를 하기로 결정하였다.

On that day, there was a farmer's market; I'm not a huge fan of markets but this one was small & nice and not that crowded. The fish market of Trouville will make you want to buy pounds of prawns and lobsters .

그 날, 농부의 시장이 있었다; 저는 시장의 팬은 아니지만, 이 시장은 작고 그리 붐비지 않았다. 트루빌의 어시장은 여러분이 1파운드의 새우와 가재를 사고 싶어하도록 만들 다 !

We had to try the Fondant aux Pommes ( a sort of fried donut brioche with apples), and it was marvelously delicious, highly recommend it !

Fondant aux Pommes 를 먹어봤고 그것은 놀랍도록 맛있게, 여러분 꼭 먹어 해야죠 !

We then took a stroll through the city, exploring and snapping !

도시를 거닐면서 탐험하고 사진 많이 찍었다 !

Going to the Vieux Deauville we had to make a stop at the very famous Normandy Hotel (which houses movie stars during the american film festival of Deauville) & at the second boutique Gabrielle Chanel opened in 1913, three years after the one she first opened 21 rue Cambon in Paris. Unfortunately, the iconic store is now a Louis Vuitton boutique...

오래된 도시로 가서 유명한 노르망디 호텔과 지금은 Louis Vuitton 상점인 오래된 Chanel 부티크에 들렀다.

To end the day, on a sweet note we had some delicious pastries at Maison Kayser & some ice cream macarons at Amorino and oh my God, the lavender honey one is so delicious that it almost feels sinful !
