Some will rejoice, some will hate it, but what's mostly certain is that the revamped 60's hippie trend is back, and here to stay all summer !

The origins of tie-dye go way before Woodstock and Americans hippies, indeed the dying method find its first origins in ancient Asia, in China ( T’ang Dynasty between 618 and 906 C.E), Japan (Nara Period from 552 to 794 C.E.) and India (as early as the 6th century).
The increase in popularity during the 60's hippie era, was fueled by those who wanted to express their personal creativity and individuality as, no two tie-dye shirt can never look the same.
As of now the trend, is back and washed off, its 60's hippie vibe, to fit the more mainstream hypebeast type of fashion that over floods the explorer page of Instagram.
The tie-dye trend was everywhere to see on the last fashion runaways, from Proenza Shouler, to Prabal Gurung, and Stella McCartney, there's plenty inspiration to choose from.

Fast fashion retailers, are already stacking their shelves, and whether you decide to splurge into the trend by buying the modern tie-dye looks or go vintage and bring back the famous colorful tee, there's always the option to make it fully yours by DIYing your own design, just like back in the days ! And seriously if Anna is rocking it, so can (and should) you ;)
